Empirical Analysis And Study On Optimization In The Consumption Structure Of Urban Residents In Hebei Province

Consumer behavior is a hot topic studied abroad in economics, including expenditure and consumption structure. Through the marginal propensity to consumption, the price elasticity and expenditure elasticity of goods, the paper can quantitatively analyze the factors of consumer behavior. The second aspect is consumption structure. The consumption structure is residents object of a variety of consumer spending in the total proportion of consumption expenditure and its components in the state, reflect the characteristics of consumption, living standards to measure an important indicator of quality of life. With the speeding up of urbanization in our country in recent years, the urban residents’consumption in the residents’problem more and more becomes the role of the decision. So, researching in characteristic and development trend of urban residents’consumption structure has important practical significance for government, who formulates and implements some policy about stimulating residents’consumption.On the basis of previous theories and models researching in consumption structure, this paper is carried empirical research from urban residents on the income effect on consumption structure change. This paper is carried empirical analysis comparing the ELES model and AIDS model which are the most commonly used in researching in consumption structure, from the two aspects of marginal propensity analysis and elastic analysis. Because the two models are different advantages in the study of the consumption structure, this paper uses their respective advantages and comprehensive analyses the change trend of urban residents’consumption structure.Through the elastic analysis, expending the width of the residents’consumption structure and increasing the depth of the consumption structure are suggested on the aspect of urban residents’consumption structure optimization in this paper. Meanwhile, the field of existing advantage should be deep mined in order to find new stimulating consumption point. In addition, searching new consumption point in new field and stepping up efforts to encourage should be suggested, in order to rationalize the consumption structure of residents.
