The Impact Of China's Belt And Road Initiative On Indonesia's Economic Growth

Relations between Indonesia and China have existed for centuries.Indonesia in 1950 officially recognized the establishment of diplomatic relations with Chinese leaders during Soekarno,Indonesia's first president.Indonesia is located in an important strategic location,on the Silk Road which connects China and India and the Arabian Sea and now Indonesia is one of the countries that participated in the Belt and Road Initiatives(BRI)collaboration that was made by President Xi Jinping.The belt and road initiatives program is also in line with the vision of President Joko Widodo to strengthen the maritime axis as the center of the economy.However,seeing Indonesia and China having different social and cultural conditions,so this program has its own obstacles,challenges,and strengths.Therefore this study will explain the scope of the Belt and Road Initiatives,then will try to uncover these disadvantages and advantages.Based on the background above,then formulated questions;How is the Cooperation between China and Indonesia in Belt and Road Initiative? How are the Advantage and Disadvantage Cooperation Relations between China and Indonesia in Belt and Road Initiative? How is the Indonesian economic effect in Belt and Road Initiatives cooperation? This research is expected to be useful for adding knowledge about Indonesian and China cooperation in belt and road initiatives,thenfind out the problems that arise and how to solve them,so that cooperation works well and the economy of the two countries increases.This research is a qualitative research that uses an analytical descriptive type to provide a comprehensive,systematic and indepth review of the object of research.The researcher will examine and analyze the Cooperation relationship between Indonesia and China on belt and road initiatives that surrounds it to explain conclusions regarding the threats,strengths,and recommendations to launch cooperation in belt and road initiatives between Indonesia and China.Cooperation Belt and Road Initiatives between Indonesia and China,especially in the infrastructure sector will improve the Indonesian economy.Because,the Indonesian state which consists of various islands has experienced difficulties in accessing transportation.So,if Indonesia builds infrastructure and transportation between islands it will facilitate the transformation of goods.Thus,the economy will rapidly increase.
