Analysis Of China Merchants Bank Financial Market Business Transformation

Nowadays,due to the development of Internet and the rapid development of domestic direct financing,the indirect financing dominated by commercial banks has been greatly impacted,and the role of commercial banks as a financing medium has been declining.Therefore,the transformation of commercial banks is imperative,and the development of financial market business is an effective way for commercial banks to achieve the goal of transformation.In recent years,the proportion of financial market business in the income and balance sheet of commercial banks has gradually increased.The financial market business department has gradually evolved from the Department that used to play the role of fund transfer to the platform of bank fund operation,asset-liability management,financial product innovation and new profit growth.However,with the advantages of financial market business,there are some problems of its own,so it is imperative for commercial banks to transform their financial market business.This article is from the current situation of China Merchants Bank’s financial market business as a starting point,to analyze the situation of China Merchants Bank’s financial market business in all stages before 2015,and then make an analysis and evaluation of the transformation measures made by China Merchants Bank in 2016.By comparing the impact of financial market business on the performance of recruitment bank before and after the transformation,we can get the results of the transformation of financial market business;through the systematic analysis of the transformation of recruitment bank’s financial market business,we can find out the problems in the process of transformation and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.Although there are many articles on the transformation of commercial banks,there are few studies on the transformation of financial market business of commercial banks.This paper chooses China Merchants Bank,one of the leading joint-stock banks,as the object of analysis,to explore the effects and problems of the financial market business in the development mode and the transformation of its business structure,which has been recruited under the new financial market environment since 2016.This paper makes a detailed analysis of the transformation of China Merchants Bank’s financial market business,determines the business development strategy,carries out accurate marketpositioning,and chooses effective and reasonable development measures,hoping to contribute to the development of financial market business of various commercial banks in China.
