Study On The Impact Of Changes In Food Demand Structure On China's Agricultural Products Trade Structure

Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy and is related to the national security of the country.It is the source of food and the foundation of all social activities.As a country with a population of 1.4 billion people,China's overall consumption of food is relatively large,and the demand structure has also changed in the rapid development of the country.In this context,China's planting structure and scale are a test,and agricultural trade plays a role in balancing and regulating domestic food supply and demand.At the same time,changes in food demand structure will also adversely affect the structure of agricultural trade.This article explores the degree of connectivity between the two from the perspective of food demand.First of all,this article starts with the basic concepts,defines the concept of food demand structure,agricultural trade and agricultural trade structure,and elaborates its own viewpoints.Then it links the demand to explain the relevant aspects of trade influence,including preference similarity theory,competitive advantage.Theory,Engel's law,traction growth theory,etc.Then,based on the trade data of UN COMTRADE 1995-2017,the statistical description method was used to analyze the overall import and export trade volume.Subsequently,the trade data for 1995-2017 was classified according to the HS code system used by the World Customs Organization according to the grain,meat and egg milk,fruit and vegetable products,and the production of line charts,area maps,etc.,and analysis revealed various changes in volume and The proportion of structure changes.According to the data provided by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China,the Monthly Statistical Report of China's Agricultural Products,some of the problems existed in the analysis of the domestic distribution of trade and the structure of trade countries through the histogram and the three-line chart.The problems in China's agricultural product trade mainly include the problem of balance,the balance of regional structure,the balance of country-dependent balance and the problems arising from the optimization of agricultural structure.Secondly,from the FAO STATE database,we select the domestic supply of China's cereals,meat and eggs,fruits and vegetables as sample data of domestic food demand,the demand and proportion of the three major categories of products and the needs of Chinese residents.The structural evolution was analyzed,and then the principles of the scale of import and export,product and country structure were analyzed from the perspectives of scale,preference and quality structure.Thirdly,in order to confirm the impact of changes in food demand structure on the structural changes of China's agricultural products,the demand structure of cereals,grain import structure and grain export structure were measured using multiple linear regression,ADF test,cointegration test and Granger cause test.The empirical analysis of the relationship between the demand structure of meat and egg milk and the import and export structure of meat and egg,the demand structure of fruits and vegetables and the import and export structure of fruits and vegetables,combined with the empirical results,analyzes the existing problems and causes.Finally,the paper summarizes the content of the full text,proposes countermeasures and suggestions for the problems,and further prospects the development of China's agricultural trade.
