The Internet of Things(IoT)is the third wave of information development in the world after the traditional computer Internet and mobile Internet.The IoT is about to realize the interconnection of everything.Due to the large market demand and broad development prospects of the IoT industry,it is regarded as the next trillion-level market opportunity,so its importance and development potential are unquestionable.In order to seize the opportunity of development of the IoT,under the great attention of the China's government,the development of the IoT has been gradually incorporated into the outline of China's "Twelfth Five-Year Plan".Under the unremitting efforts of the central top-level design,China's IoT applications will usher in explosive growth.Founded in 2012,XMCZ is a provider of integrated IoT solutions focused on "location and wireless communication technologies”in the IoT industry chain.In the face of the upcoming IoT market demand and the increasingly competitive environment,what kind of product development strategy should XMCZ choose?Through the research on the product development strategy of XMCZ.this paper strives to explore and formulate product development strategies suitable for IoT enterprises,and provides theoretical and practical guidance for the other enterprises.This paper begins with the study of the background of XMCZ,and then introduces the purpose,significance and methods of the research.From the perspective of both domestic and foreign,we will study the strategic theory of IoT product development at the present stage,and combine the strategic research results and practical experience of product development at the present stage,to analyze and summarize the IoT industrial chain of XMCZ and its domestic development status and development trend.Through the combination of the theoretical knowledge of enterprise strategic management and product development strategy and the actual situation of XMCZ company,the analysis tools such as PEST and Porter's five-force model are used to deeply study the development environment of XMCZ company's the external environment such as industrial competition.Then,research on the internal resources and capabilities of XMCZ.Finally,the SWOT matrix analysis method is used for quantitative and qualitative analysis.the strategy of "SO" is obtained.The "leading”strategy of product development strategy.Through the analysis of the existing product with BCG matrix,the analysis of new product development,the analysis of the existing market customer demand,the technology solution of the IoT and the feasibility analysis of development,The development strategy of NB-IoT and LoRa module products is derived.The strategy of product development strategy is determined:the first stage is the strategy of technology leading,the second paragraph is the cost lead,the third stage is the comprehensive leading strategy.Finally,the product development strategy target and strategy are identified.From the aspects of enterprise resource allocation and optimization,organizational structure and process system adjustment and optimization,corporate culture construction,human resource management and program management,and information system construction,how to ensure the implementation of strategic objectives.Therefore,XMCZ has a leading position in the future IoT market competition,which has very practical guidance and reference for the future development of XMCZ,and provides theoretical reference for other technology companies in the IoT industry.
