Analysis On The Impact Of Third Party Payment On The Payment And Settlement Business Of Commercial Banks

Third party payment is the main component of modern payment service industry in China and the key driving force for the rapid development of Internet economy in China.Third party payment platform not only makes up the service function of bank payment and settlement,but also improves the efficiency of financial payment and settlement.With the development of information technology,Internet technology has been applied to the financial field and changed the traditional payment method.At the beginning of the period,banks did not pay much attention to third-party payments because the proportion of payment settlement business income in the middle business of major banks was not large.And banks also like to hand over complex retail payment settlement operations to third-party payment agencies to cooperate with them,so that banks can become more efficient.But in recent years there has been an explosion in the size of third-party payments,especially third-party mobile payments.At this time,the major banks began to refocus on third-party payment agencies.What banks really care about is not that third-party payment agencies take away the profits of their payment and settlement business.Banks are more worried that third-party payers will attract more customers through the payment and settlement interface to start more financial businesses such as wealth management,loans,etc.,and continue to infiltrate the bank's business,which will eventually lead to the subversion of the banking industry.So how much impact third party payment will have on the bank,how the bank will deal with the impact of third party payment,how to recapture the payment settlement window,and how to deal with the relationship with third party payment;These problems have become an urgent problem for banks.Therefore,this paper introduces the relevant theories,studies the mechanism of the influence of third-party payment on the bank's payment and settlement business,and then analyzes the impact of third-party payment on the bank's payment and settlement business.Then choose the data of 18 commercial banks from 2008 to 2018 to make a quantitative empirical analysis of the impact of third-party payments on the bank's payment and settlement business,and finally put forward its own suggestions for the development of the commercial bank's payment and settlement business.
