Research On The Influence Of Technology M&A And Independent R&D In BOE's Performance

With the continuous development of society,it is more important for science and technology to be developed gradually.The improvement of people's living standard cannot be separated from the progress of science and technology.Chinese enterprises and government also pay more and more attention to and encourage innovation.If technology enterprises want to gain an advantage in the fierce world market competition,they must improve their technological capabilities so as to maintain exuberant vitality and vigor.However,the market environment changes with each passing day,which poses great risks to enterprises pursuing technology,technology merger and acquisition or independent research and development.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study how technology merger and acquisition and independent research and development interact to create value for the company.Taking BOE as a specific case,this paper uses case study method to study the impact of BOE's independent R&D and technology merger and acquisition on corporate performance from 1995 to 2017.Through reviewing the development process of BOE since its establishment,this paper finds that boe has carried out a series of technology mergers and acquisitions since 2001,and acquired various core technologies.After merger and acquisition integration,boe has invested a lot in independent research and development,and its performance has been gradually improved.BOE has gradually developed from a bankrupt electronic tube factory into a leading enterprise in the display industry,among which the technology acquisition and independent research and development experience is worth learning.Therefore,the research question of this paper is:how can technology acquisition and independent research and development jointly improve the performance of boe?By analyzing the impact of technology M&A and independent research and development on BOE's performance,this paper finds that technology M&A has obvious impact on the company's short-term performance,but there may be financial risks.If the company can combine technology merger and acquisition with independent research and development according to its product characteristics,market position and industry characteristics,the company's performance can be significantly improved.This paper hopes to put forward suggestions for rational allocation of resources and improvement of enterprise performance,and provide reference for improving R&D innovation ability and market competitiveness of similar enterprises in China.
