A Study On China's FDI In Lao People's Democratic Republic Agriculture

As the main industry of Laos,agriculture is the pillar of Laos' economic development and the guarantee for the continued development of Laos' foreign trade.Due to the weak economic and technological development in the country and the long-term restriction on the production and management mode of small-scale farmers,the Laos agriculture has not been able to achieve a mechanized and large-scale operation and development model.There is still a huge gap between Laos' agricultural production and agricultural exports compared with other agricultural powers.To promote the production and development of Laos agriculture,it is necessary to increase support for agriculture,achieve large-scale cultivation and production of agricultural products,increase the technical content of exported agricultural products,and improve the overall quality of agricultural products.However,due to the low level of economic development in Laos,the government does not have enough funds to invest in agricultural development,so attracting foreign investment has become the main way for Laos' agricultural development.As a major trading partner of Laos and a major investment country in Laos,China attracts direct investment from Chinese companies and can effectively solve the real problems faced by Laos' agricultural development.The paper first analyzes,studies and elaborates the relevant theoretical content,and further analyzes the economic effects of Laos' attraction of China's agricultural direct investment.At the same time,in order to further enhance Laos' efforts to attract Chinese agricultural direct investment,promote the continuous expansion of China's agricultural investment in Laos,and expand the investment area,the paper uses quantitative analysis methods to analyze the factors affecting China's direct investment in Laos.The important research conclusions of the paper.Finally,the paper proposes China's direct investment in Laos agriculture and countermeasures to promote China's direct investment in Laos agriculture.The research of the thesis mainly includes three conclusions:First,China has obvious positive effects on Laos' direct investment in agriculture;second,the area of cultivated land in Laos,the harvested area of crops,the total trade volume between China and Laos,and the trade volume of agricultural products between the two sides are There is a positive correlation between Chinese companies' investment in Laos'agricultural sector.Third,there are three main problems in Laos' agriculture attracting direct investment from Chinese enterprises:one is the issue of agricultural resources in Laos,the other is Laos' domestic economic development,and the third is the trade development of China and Laos.These three aspects directly affect the issue.Laos agriculture has attracted Chinese FDI.Therefore,only by developing together from the three perspectives of agricultural resource development,economic development and trade development can we enhance the attractiveness of Lao agriculture to Chinese enterprises' FDI.
