Since the 21 st century,driven by the new industrial model represented by industry 4.0,many enterprises in various countries have been actively or passively transforming.The target market customers of RMT(China)begin to change to intelligent manufacturing.Around the three main lines of intelligent factory supply chain,production management and control,and asset life cycle,the corresponding demand patterns and processes are being reshaped,from simple product procurement applications to comprehensive service needs of solutions.This change has brought tremendous opportunities for development in the areas of basic measurement,professional software,fee-based services and comprehensive solutions.Affected by this,leading multinational enterprises in the automation industry have been transforming to the intellectualized factory solution service providers,grabbing the mid-high-end market;domestic brands have also formed market shocks through low-cost strategy,using simple integration solutions.The automation industry presents a chaotic competitive state in the transition period.Reliable products,perfect services,flexible solutions,professional personnel and resource integration capabilities become the key success factors of enterprises in the industry.RMT is a comprehensive service provider in the automation industry.Its measurement technology is in the leading position.It provides a full range of automation integrated products,including all kinds of measurement sensors,transmission units,signal processors,analysis software,services and schemes,and continuously optimizes its product scheme capability through multiple mergers and acquisitions.RMT(China)takes the hydrogen carbon energy market as its core target market.After years of development,it has formed a certain competitive advantage.Through mergers and acquisitions,efficient asset allocation,perfect sales and service system to create a strong brand,while constantly enriching product lines,maintain high-quality products and enhance local R&D capabilities,consolidate their market position.At the same time,the lack of overall program capability,high operating costs and insufficient compound talents restrict the company's further development.Combining external environment and internal resource and capability,the study chooses centralized differentiation strategy for RMT(China).For centralization,it concentrates on maintaining and increasing the advantages of measurement technology and expanding the scope of application around measurement technology;on the other hand,it concentrates on insisting on focusing on hydrogen carbon energy customers and expanding the related upstream acquisition and downstream chemical market.To differentiate,it develops leading wireless communication technology on the advantage of measurement technology,further enlarging product differentiation;on the other hand,it develops scheme design based on measurement to form differentiated scheme capability.Through the implementation of the new competition strategy,RMT(China)can achieve the strategic goal of becoming a leader in the measurement field,a leading service enterprise in the plant operation plan and a first-class supplier in the overall management plan.The strategy has formulated clear objectives in the short,medium and long term in stages,and has planned a series of implementation and safeguard measures,including the adjustment and improvement of organizational structure,human resources,marketing,R&D direction,supply chain and direction of financial investment to ensure the overall realization of the strategy.This research not only improves the competitive advantage of RMT(China),but also has the applicability of other enterprises in the automation industry.
