At present, our government is vigorously promoting the transformation and upgrading of economic development, from investment-driven to consumption-driven.In many of the factors affecting consumption, medical expenses become an important factor restricting household consumption.Although the social basic medical insurance in our country has been greatly popularized, because of the low degree of protection, the medical expenses of disease and accidental injury can not be completely alleviated, and the potential of household consumption can not be fully released. As an important supplement of basic medical insurance, commercial health insurance plays an increasingly important role in promoting consumption. This kind of promotion function is embodied in the micro-level and macro-level.At the micro-level,commercial health insurance can reduce risk expectations and release consumption potential by dispersing risks and economic compensation so that people do not suffer too much damage from medical expenses when they encounter diseases and accidental injuries. At the macro level, millions of households benefit from the commercial health insurance released by the consumption potential pooled together to form a huge social consumption momentum,as an important driver of economic growth. However, due to the short development time of Chinaundefineds commercial health insurance, there are some shortcomings in itself, which have not fully stimulated the huge potential of private consumption.Under this social background,it is of great significance to explore the characteristics and mechanisms of commercial health insurance to promote family consumption and to clarify the path of accelerating the development of commercial health insurance. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The main contents and viewpoints of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, based on the background and significance of the topic selection, through combing the relevant domestic and foreign literature and briefly comment on it,clear the research content and research methods of this paper, finally summed up the innovation and shortcomings of this paper. The second chapter introduces the overview of commercial health insurance and family consumption.Absorbing and drawing lessons from the theories of health insurance and consumption at home and abroad, the author innovatively divides consumption into three levels: subsistence consumption, development consumption and enjoyment consumption, and defines the connotation of the three consumption levels clearly. Then it analyzes the relationship between insurance and consumption and draws three basic conclusions: commercial health insurance can effectively promote household consumption; The factors influencing consumption include social medical insurance,urban-rural difference, family income, education level and so on,and the influence of each factor should be taken into account as a whole. These conclusions are the theoretical basis for qualitative analysis in the third chapter. The third chapter is the qualitative analysis of the impact of commercial health insurance on household consumption.First of all,we use a large number of data to analyze the current situation of the influence of commercial health insurance on household consumption, then introduce the concept of "health expenditure",and think that commercial health insurance can resolve the famil y economic pressure caused by "health expenditure".Inspired consumption potential. Finally, according to the theory of income elasticity of demand, the income elasticity of the three levels of consumption increases sequentially, and the increasing space of consumption of rural households is higher than that of urban households by using the law of decreasing marginal propensity of consumption. Therefore, the promoting effect of commercial health insurance on the three levels of consumption is enhanced in turn, and the promoting effect of commercial health insurance on the consumption of rural families is higher than that of urban families. The fourth chapter is an empirical analysis of the impact of commercial health insurance on household consumption.By selecting the data, building the model, taking "whether to purchase commercial health insurance" as the most important variable, and introducing other related variables, the influence of commercial health insurance on the three levels of consumption is quantitatively analyzed. The preliminary conclusion of chapter 3 is verified. The fifth chapter is the conclusion and suggestion of this paper. On the basis of full-text analysis and research, three basic conclusions are drawn: first, commercial health insurance has a significant positive effect on survival consumption, development consumption and enjoyment consumption, and this promotion effect increases sequentially. This plays an important role in promoting the optimization and upgrading of the consumption structure.Secondly, the influence of commercial health insurance on the three levels of consumption of rural families is higher than that of urban families, which is of great significance to improve the consumption level of rural residents and narrow the ga p between urban and rural areas.Thirdly, the promotion of commercial health insurance to the three levels of consumption is obviously higher than that of social medical insurance. Therefore, commercial health insurance should be vigorously developed in order to give full play to its promoting effect on consumption. On the basis of the above conclusions, suggestions on developing commercial health insurance and promoting household consumption are put forward from four aspects. The first is to develop differentiated products to promote the coordinated development of the three levels of consumption;the second is to develop rural general health insurance to activate the consumption potential of farmers;the third is to develop insurance beyond basic medical insurance to play a supplementary role of security;Fourth, the construction of the "big health insurance" industry chain, customer consumption to provide full service. There are two main innovations in this paper:On the one hand, this paper analyzes the impact of commercial health insurance on household consumption from three aspects: theoretical overview, qualitative analysis and empirical analysis.Compared with the previous literature, this analysis is more comprehensive in perspective and rich in content. On the other hand, consumption is innovatively divided into three levels: subsistence consumption, development consumption and enjoyment consumption, and the influence of commercial health insurance on the three consumption levels is compared with the multi-dimensional analysis method. Then put the consumption of urban and rural households together for comparative analysis. This approach reveals more deeply and thoroughly the internal mechanism and characteristics of commercial health insurance affecting household consumption.
