The Impact Of Entrepreneurship On The Export Quality Of Manufacturing Industry

The Chinese economy is facing the most difficult challenge since the reform and opening up.Since 2012,the rate of economic growth is decreasing year by year.The Chinese economy has entered China's New Normal Status,we need re-examining China's economic development model,recognizing challenges and opportunities Coexistence,the emergence of China's New Normal Status is a change in China's economic development model and stage,and needs to respond positively.It is also an important driving force to promote the transformation of China's economy from extensive development to high-quality development.As an important characteristic of the new normal status,entrepreneurship plays a more and more important role in the economic operation and development.Can entrepreneurship affect the quality of manufacturing exports? How does entrepreneurship affect the quality of manufacturing exports? This paper will study from these two aspects.Firstly,this paper defines the connotation of entrepreneurship,measures the Chinese Innovation Entrepreneurship and Venture Entrepreneurship,and analyzes the trends of Innovation Entrepreneurship and Venture Entrepreneurship.we find the Innovation Entrepreneurship and Venture Entrepreneurship in eastern provinces is gradually surpassing that of the Northeast.Then,this paper calculates the export quality of manufacturing enterprises-destination countries-products in China from 2001 to 2007 by using the improved supply and demand information aggregation method,and finds that the export quality of China has improved significantly during the sample period.By comparing the export quality of domestic enterprises with that of foreign enterprises,it is found that the export quality of domestic enterprises is smaller than that of foreign enterprises,but the gap between them is decreasing year by year.Comparing the quality changes of 27 sub-industries in manufacturing industry,we found that the export quality of 19 industries had been improved in the sample period,while that of 8 industries had declined in the sample period.Five of the fastest growing industries were instrument manufacturing(53.4%),chemical raw materials and chemicals manufacturing(48.4%),paper and paper products(29.7%),furniture manufacturing(26.8%)and pharmaceutical manufacturing(26.3%),the three fastest-decreasing industries are textile and apparel manufacturing(24.6%),agricultural and sideline food processing(16%),leather,fur and feather products and footwear industry(9.9%).By comparing the quality of domestic products for export purposes,it is found that the export of manufacturing industry is positively correlated with the level of economic development of export destination countries,which confirms the Linde hypothesis.At the same time,the traditional KSW method is used to measure the export quality of manufacturing enterprises from 2001 to 2010.It is found that under this method,the average quality does not increase year by year,but presents three bands,and reaches the maximum value points of the average quality in 2002,2005 and 2008,respectively.Finally,the paper empirically analyses the impact of entrepreneurship on the export quality.The results show that the improvement of Innovation Entrepreneurship promotes the export quality of manufacturing,and the promotion of Venture Entrepreneurship promotes the export quality of manufacturing.In terms of regions,Innovation Entrepreneurship in the central region has the strongest effect on improving the export quality of manufacturing,and the weakest in the eastern region;Venture Entrepreneurship in the eastern,central and western regions has a significant effect on the quality of export of manufacturing enterprises.Moreover,the promoting effect on central and western regions have similar strengths and are much higher than the eastern regions.However,Venture Entrepreneurship in the northeast region has a significant hindrance to the improvement of export quality of manufacturing enterprises.In terms of industry,Innovation Entrepreneurship play an important role in promoting the export quality of labor-intensive industries,and has the strongest effect.It also significantly promotes the export quality of technology-intensive industries,but the promoting effect is only one fifth in labor-intensive industries.Venture Entrepreneurship has a weak effect on capital and technology-intensive industries.After considering endogeneity and conducting a robustness test,it was found that the conclusion that Innovation Entrepreneurship promotes the quality of China's manufacturing exports has not changed.According to the empirical results,we believe that the improvement of entrepreneurship can promote the improvement of export quality,but at the same time,we must also recognize the differences in different regions and different industries.At the same time,the government should play a guiding role and continue to strengthen Innovation Entrepreneurship.The cultivation of the spirit enhances the level of Innovation Entrepreneurship to improve the quality of manufacturing exports.
