Efficiency Analysis Of Mongolian Commercial Banks Based On DEA-Malmquist Index

Commercial banks play an important role in the Mongolian financial system.In recent years,although the total assets of commercial banks have increased,they have shown good development potential.But for now,the share of the financial system is still low.The economic crisis of varying degrees for several years has had a great impact on the banking industry in Mongolia.For example,due to the economic crisis,Mongolia's labor force,total deposits,total loans,income and other factors have been affected to varying degrees.At the same time,the efficiency of commercial banks is also a problem that has long plagued the development of Mongolia's financial industry.Therefore,improving the efficiency of commercial banks is a key issue in the current sustainable development of Mongolia's financial industry.This paper selects the data of 13 Mongolian commercial banks from 2013 to 2017 to analyze the operational efficiency of Mongolian commercial banks and find measures to improve the efficiency of Mongolian commercial banks.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,it introduces the international background and research significance of the topic,and systematically sorts out the progress of the existing research,and on this basis,further research of this paper is carried out.Secondly,it expounds the relevant theories of efficiency analysis of commercial banks.Including the concept of efficiency,commercial bank efficiency,data envelopment analysis and methods based on DEA-Malmquist exponential efficiency analysis.Thirdly,the paper analyzes the production efficiency of 13 Mongolian commercial banks,and analyzes the production efficiency of Mongolian commercial banks based on the Malmquist index analysis method.Finally,it puts forward policy recommendations for improving the operation status of Mongolian commercial banks and improving their operational efficiency.
