The Research About The Choices Of Chinese Foreign Direct Investment Industry

The year 2019 marks the 41 st anniversary of Reform and Opening-up,and China's FDI is also in its 41 st year.Before 2017,China's FDI maintained a momentum of rapid development.The Chinese government has strengthened the quality control of enterprises' FDI industrial choices in an effort to improve the level of China's FDI,which fell in 2017 for the first time since records began.In August of the same year,the guideline on further guiding and regulating the direction of overseas investment forwarded by the state council clearly encourages,restricts and prohibits three types of overseas investment activities.The 19 th National People's Congress of the communist party of China in 2017 also set new requirements for China's outbound investment.In this context,this paper studies China's FDI industry selection.This article first through the choice of foreign direct investment industry related theory,introduces echelon theory and marginal industry expansion theory,theory of international production compromise,small-scale technology theory,the dynamic comparative advantage theory of investment,technology innovation and industry upgrading theory,in chapter 4 of the study,this paper analyses the Chinese foreign direct investment(FDI)how to select the industry to provide theoretical support.Secondly,this paper briefly introduces the current situation of China's FDI through intuitive data and comparison with the United States,the largest country of FDI in the world,and points out the two motivations for China's FDI industry selection from the macro and micro perspectives.This paper holds that the necessity of economic globalization,the support of China's domestic policies,the need of China's industrial structure upgrading and the need of developing China's foreign trade are the macro motivations for China's FDI to make rational industrial choices.At the micro level,enterprises' pursuit of profit maximization drives enterprises' FDI to make appropriate industrial choices.Then,this article from China to the world's major economic direct investment industry,direct investment in China's three largest industry selection,choice of China's foreign direct investment industry of the national economy industry,and China's foreign direct investors on China's foreign direct investment industry choose four angles,the influence of industrial structure and combining the elastic coefficient,an analysis on China's foreign direct investment industry choice,what is the characteristic and induces four angles.In view of the above research and analysis,through the induction summary,on China's foreign direct investment industry choice put forward the following main problems: One is direct investment in China's going abroad industry distribution and give priority to with low value-added industries;Second,the convergence of industrial choice;Third,the choice of industry is labor-intensive;Fourth,the structure of China's FDI industry is simple;Fifth,the influence of China's FDI enterprises' strength on industrial choice.Finally,corresponding policy Suggestions are put forward according to the above problems.First,the government policy guidance for enterprises to reduce the risk of high value-added foreign direct investment;Secondly,strengthen the direct investment in the advantageous industries of the host country;Thirdly,improve the status of China in vertical FDI;Then,optimize the structure of domestic investors from the perspective of the industry;Finally,optimize the industrial choice of FDI of enterprises with strength.
