Case Study Of DB Wind Power Project Loan Risk Management

Along with the gradually highlighted contradictions between energy and environment,many countries all over the country is focusing on renewable energy development as problem solution.According to the "13th Five-Year plan" of Chinese new energy industry,newly-installed capacity of wind power has reached 61 million kilowatts.Much funds have been invested in wind power project construction and currently it is mainly solved with bank project loan;However,there is characteristics including concealment,hysteresis,long term and seriousness in project loan so that the risk management is more strict and prudent during project loan development process by commercial bank.Therefore,how to formulate effective management and prevention to loan risk of wind power investment projects and handle realistic appraisal and recognition before loan releasing.Preparing scientific and objective risk appraisal and management during loan decision and monitoring risk prevention is the research key point and task in risk management aspects of commercial bank loan.This article has taken the DB loans for wind power projects as actual case and treated risk management and appraisal method application to GS bank project in DB wind power actual case as research objection.Qualitative analysis,quantitative evaluation,evaluation discussion and simulation comparison have been carried out so that solvency capability of DB wind power projects during loan term can be estimated.Meanwhile,handling study to risk management process to detailed case in order that recognition and appraisal process can be raised to loan risk of this project.Realistic and feasible risk prevention and control measures can be set to bring some reference and consultation to loans for wind power projects of commercial bank and some assistance effect for effective loan funds implementation can be realized.Through bibliographical information research and consultation,comparison research to current situation for risk management in domestic and foreign commercial bank project have been made and gaps & deficiencies in project loan risk management area of our commercial bank has been pointed out.Meanwhile,some improving suggestions have been proposed and some new changes have been forecasted in future project risk management area and we hope this can bring some useful conference to risk management tasks of commercial bank project loan.
