The Impact Of Complexity Of The Producer Service Import Trade On The Total Factor Productivity Of China's Manufacturing Industry

With the continuous improvement of the level of informationization and service in the world,China's manufacturing industry is facing unprecedented challenges.As an intermediate input of manufacturing industry,producer service has the characteristics of high technology content,high knowledge density and high professionalism,which can reduce the production cost of manufacturing industry and improve the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry by strengthening the specialized division of labor in manufacturing.At the same time,due to the slow development of China's producer service industry,it is necessary to make up for its own shortcomings through the import of producer services.Based on this,this paper will discuss the impact of imported producer services on the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry from the perspective of technical complexity.Therefore,based on the research of related literatures at home and abroad,this paper firstly analyzes the impact of the complexity of producer service import trade on the total factor productivity of manufacturing from the theoretical point of view;Secondly,through the selection of corresponding methods,the complexity of China's producer service import trade and the total factor productivity of manufacturing industry are measured and evaluated accordingly.Finally,through the construction of the econometric model,the paper analyzes the overall impact of the complexity of the producer service import trade on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry,and analyzes it from producer service in different sector and manufacturing with different factor density to measure the industry heterogeneity of this impact.The conclusions of the study include: firstly,the complexity of the producer services import trade has a significant positive impact on the overall total factor productivity of China's manufacturing industry;secondly,the impact of the complexity of the producer services impoort trade on China's different factor-intensive manufacturing industries is different,it has a significant role in promoting the total factor productivity of technologyintensive manufacturing,has less effect on labor-intensive manufacturing,and inhibits the capital-intensive manufacturing;thirdly,the impact of the complexity of different producer services import trade for total factor productivity in manufacturing is also different.The import technology complexity of communication,computer and information services and transportation services has a significant positive impact on the total factor productivity of the manufacturing industry.The import technology complexity of insurance and pension services and other commercial services will produce positive impact,but the effect is not significant,financial services and intellectual property use services will have a negative impact,but the effect is not significant.On the basis of theoretical and empirical research,this paper gives the following four suggestions: Firstly,reducing the barriers to producer service trade and optimizing the import structure of producer service trade;secondly,reducing the threshold for entry and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic producer service industry;Thirdly,promoting the transformation of traditional manufacturing industry and improving the industrial relevance of producer service industry and manufacturing industry;Fourthly,increasing policy support and improving the overall technical level of the manufacturing industry.
