Leadership style has always been a long-standing topic in the field of management.The changes of the times and the transformation of society have made domestic management practices no longer draw on the mature management styles of foreign countries,and more are considered the way leaders lead in the context of Chinese traditional culture.Under the influence of Confucianism,humility has always been the attitude and life cultivation of the Chinese people.the introduction of humble leaders has attracted the attention of domestic scholars.This kind of leadership is more in line with the demands of the new generation of employees for equality and flexible leadership.Therefore,scholars have carried out many explorations on the effectiveness of humble leaders,but there is still a lack of empirical research.The effectiveness of humble leaders on employees needs to be further explored.The deepening of leadership research has brought about the development of follow-up theory research.Without the follow-up of employees,the effectiveness of leadership will be greatly reduced.The two become complementary communities,more and more people are beginning to notice the important role of follow-up in organizational development.Based on this,this paper attempts to explore the influence mechanism of humble leaders on employee's work engagement from the perspective of employee follow-up,and adds followership and emotional commitment as mediator variables and adjustment variables into the theoretical model research,Exploring the transmission mechanism and activation mechanism of leadership style in the process of subordinate behavior.This research uses a combination of theoretical and empirical research methods.Through the questionnaire survey of employees of different industries in Hubei,Henan,Hunan,Tianjin,Guangdong and other regions,243 copies of valid questionnaires were collected,The true recovery rate of the questionnaire reached 71.4%.The data were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS statistical analysis software.The results show that humble leaders have a positive impact on employee followership and work engagement;followership has a positive impact on work engagement;affective commitment has a positive regulatory effect on the relationship between humble leaders and employee followership.Based on the situation of Chinese organization management,this study explores the impact mechanism of humble leaders on work engagement,earn more about the value of humble leaders.Taking the employees' followership as the starting point to further studythe influence mechanism of the humble leadership effectiveness,the combination of leadership and followership is explored,enriching the theoretical system of humble leaders.It also expands the research on the mechanism of follow-up and confirms the value of follow-up.In practice,it has important guiding significance for local management practice.First,corporate leaders should establish a sense of humility,understand the importance of humility in the process of leadership,strengthen self-cultivation,and practice humility;Secondly,it pays attention to the followership of employees in the process of selecting and appointing personnel,In the daily management activities,through a series of quality development projects to improve the follow-up of employees,in order to play the role of employee follow-up to promote the development of the organization.Finally,the organization pays attention to the psychological state of employees,Strengthen employee care,improve the quality of employees' emotional commitment and social exchange relationship,and enhance employees' willingness to give back to better serve the organization.
