Major Impacts Of The TPP Agreement On Vietnamese Trade

Vietnam had been starting reforming and open policy since late 1980 s and had built a new economic system,after then economy of Vietnam has been making more and more progress and getting deeper and deeper connections with international economy,international trade get more and more development,and connections with international market becomes stronger.In recent years,Vietnam has built lots of free trade zones with other countries from different international trade organizations,China,USA,Japan,EU,Korea and ASEAN are Vietnam's important partners,in October.5th,2015,Vietnam made an agreement with USA,Japan,Brunei,Malaysia,Singapore,Australia,Chile,Peru,Canada,Mexico and other 11 countries and signed TPP(Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement)in 2016.2.4.TPP is not only an agreement of tariff concession,but also a high standard agreement which contains trade,technology,environment,labor,intellectual property and so on.Vietnam can get more chance of development but also lots of challenges becoming member of TPP countries.Recently,the trade relationship between Vietnam and other TPP member countries has become a hot topic.Vietnamese and foreign scholars according to different trade patterns using the appropriate index and empirical methods to test the empirical results of the analysis of bilateral trade in the competitive and complementary.This paper reviewed literatures about Vietnam and bilateral trades with TPP member countries in theory and empirical levels,then introduce and analysis the status quo of trades between Vietnam and other TPP Members.Next,by using factors which influence trade and panel data of trades between Vietnam and other TPP member countries during 2008 and 2014,building gravity models of bilateral trades between Vietnam and Other TPP countries to compare the change of coefficients of same explanatory variables,and explain the effects of independent variables at last,based on the research results,this paper make a prediction and expectation for the trade between Vioetnam and counterpartners in TPP,and proposed policy recommendations for Vietnam.
