With the continuous development and progress of China's economy,the concept of corporate social responsibility has gradually been attached importance to and become one of the hot topics discussed by all walks of life.The fulfillment of corporate social responsibility means that when pursuing the improvement of shareholders' wealth and corporate value,enterprises should also focus on the rights and interests of other stakeholders.Exploring the hot issue of corporate social responsibility,especially the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate performance,has certain guiding value for improving the overall interests of society and corporate performance.Firstly,the background and significance of this study are elaborated,and the existing problems are analyzed and commented on in combination with the research status at home and abroad.The concepts of corporate social responsibility,corporate performance,executive incentives,external audit quality and related theoretical basis are discussed.Secondly,the hypothesis of this paper is put forward based on theoretical analysis.In the process of selecting indicators,six aspects of stakeholders are identified first,and then comprehensive indicators to measure corporate social responsibility are calculated;the return on total assets is selected to measure company performance;the executive incentive is regarded as the alternative variable of incentive,and the external audit quality as the alternative variable of supervision,which is set as the adjustment variable of this paper.According to the research content and variable settings of this paper,an empirical model is constructed.Thirdly,taking the manufacturing listed companies of Shanghai and Shenzhen A shares in China from 2015 to 2017 as samples,using Excel and SPSS 17.0 to process the relevant data,according to descriptive statistics,correlation test and hierarchical regression results,the impact of corporate social responsibility on corporate performance is analyzed,and the regulatory role of executive incentives and external audit quality is analyzed.The results show that corporate social responsibility can significantly improve corporate performance;executive incentives can strengthen the impact of corporate social responsibility on corporate performance;and external audit quality can weaken the impact of corporate social responsibility on corporate performance.Finally,according to the empirical results,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward,including promoting enterprises to actively fulfill social responsibility and improving the internal incentive and external supervision mechanism of enterprises,hoping to provide ideas for listed companies to carry out relevant practical activities.
