Research On The Inheritance Path And Roadblock Of Socioemotional Wealth In Family Business

In the field of family business research,Socioemotional Wealth has attracted more and more scholars to identify and follow since 2007.Scholars found that the control of family business,entrepreneurship,family values,family relationships,social capital and other aspects of previous research can be unified to this emerging social emotional wealth concept.After more than 30 years of reform and opening up,China's family business have been deeply rooted in all walks of life and have played a vital role in the development of the whole national economy.However,nowadays most entrepreneurs have reached the age of 60,intergenerational transmission is imminent.How to carry out the intergenerational handover to realize the sustainable development of enterprises is an important subject under the requirements of The Times.This article takes the inheritance of Socioemotional Wealth as the research object,to explore the dimension construction of SEW and its inheritance path and roadblock.Firstly,this paper summarizes.the research on the connotation,dimension and measurement of SEW of scholars at home and abroad.Secondly,sums up the relevant academic achievements of the family business intergenerational inheritance factors.Finally,combs the current research on the relationship of SEW and family business Intergenerational inheritance research,excavates the theoretical gap,clarifies the research direction.Based on theoretical analysis,this paper adopts multi-case study method,selects eight family businesses that have completed inheritance,is inheriting,or facing succession problems as a samples to conduct in-depth research while conduct semi-structured interviews with business owners and successors,and using grounded theory to encode the first hand and second hand data collected.After the cross-case analysis,puts forward the theoretical proposition,builds the theoretical model of the inheritance path and roadblock of SEW.Through the third-order coding of the data and the comparative analysis between the cases,this paper clarifies the connotation of the holistic concept of Socioemotional Wealth and divides it into five dimensions.And Summed up the Socioemotional Wealth of the various dimensions of the heritage path: Family through family culture,corporate governance,family decision-making and family spurs to inherit family control and influence;Family members of the family ownership and self-efficacy to cultivate family members to cultivate psychological ownership;Through the creation of practical community and the expansion of the transfer of social relations;The implementation of family relationship management and common vision,designing the inheritance pattern to inherit the family business,carrying out family education to deliver family value,and finally realizing the family's continuing will.
