With the continuous improvement of digital infrastructure, the integration of digital technology, represented by information and communication technology, with various fields of social economy is deepening, which has become an important driving force to promote the upgrading of the real economic structure. The development of digital economy breaks the time and space restrictions on countries participation in global value chain, reducd the cost of search and matching in national trade, compressed the execution links of international trade, expanded the scale of international trade, promoted the highly refined division of labor in value chains, improved the operational efficiency of each link, and realized the rise of the economy to the high value-added stage of global value chains. With the help of LRS intra-product division model, this paper tries to analyze the impact of digital economy on the change of global value chain division status.Firstly, the paper defines the connotation of digital economy and constructs an index evaluation system of digital economy development by comparing and analyzing various methods of measuring digital economy.Secondly,it uses the WWZ method of Wang et al(2013)and Yin Weihua(2016)to realize the complete decomposition and clustering of total export trade,we recalculate the position index of global value chain division constructed by Koopman et al.(2010)and the degree index of participation in global value chain.According to Xu Helian et al.(2017)industry classification method,56 industries in WIOD are divided into manufacturing industry and service industry, and the position of global value chain division is divided into manufacturing industry and service industry.Thirdly, the paper builds an econometric model to test the theoretical model and analyze the relationship between the digital economy and the change of the division of labor status of global value chain by using panel data of 42 countries from 2007 to 2014.Finally,the paper builds an econometric model based on the analysis of the degree of digital economic development of major economies and the division of labor status of global value chain. To provide policy suggestions on how to lay out the development of digital economy and enhance the division of labor status of national GVC.Through theoretical analysis and empirical test, the paper draws the following conclusions:(1)The impact of digital economic development on the division of labor status of a countrys global value chain is not linear, but shows different degrees of influence according to the difference of national digital economic development level and different needs of industry characteristics;(2)The phenomenon of "digital divide" exists in different regions and different levels of development. There are also gaps between countries, even between different countries in the same region and different aspects of digital economic development in the same country.Technological innovation and digital infrastructure have become the main gaps, while there is no significant gap in the demand for digital technology development potential among countries. This indirectly proves that digital economic development has become the development of major economies.Important content;(3)Although the development of digital economy in different countries and industries has promoted the division of labor in the global value chain to varying degrees,it has always maintained a significant role in promoting the overall division of labor. For countries, the development of global value chains in developed countries is higher than that in developing countries.Developed countries prefer the development of digital services to be constrained by the international competitiveness of digital products, while developing countries are on the contrary. For industries, the development of digital economy promotes the embedding of services and manufacturing industries in the higher stage of global value chains, thus getting rid of the intermediary with foreign countries.Dependence on products can significantly inhibit the backward participation rate of GVC in the two industries.(4)Digital infrastructure, trade openness and the quality of government regulation play an obvious role in upgrading the value chain.Technical level and capital intensity need to be analyzed specifically in different aspects of digital economic development.Technical level significantly improves the ability of digital economy and technological innovation environment and development potential of digital technology.Capital intensity is good for developed and developing countries. On the contrary, developed countries have more advantages.
