Research On China-Laos Bilateral Economic And Trade Relations

China and Laos are both developing countries,with similar social systems,stable political relations and friendly neighbors;therefore,the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is huge and the prospects are wide.Since the 1990s,the relationship between the two countries has entered the best period since the history,be more conducive to the development of the two sides.The reform and opening-up of the two countries also requires an internal stability and unity and a peaceful and friendly environment.The middle and the old belong to the same socialist country and have a state line of more than 500 kilometers.Therefore,the Party and the Government of the Lao People's Republic of China are of the view that whether from political,economic or military On the other hand,the space for cooperation between China and the elderly is very large.Therefore,the Lao People's Party has made which provides a very good prerequisite for China-Lao cooperation in developing bilateral economic and trade relations.the elderly have developed very rapidly and achieved fruitful results.Trade between the two countries has increased year by year.points out the present situation of bilateral economic and trade development between China and Laos from three aspects:the total amount of bilateral trade between China and Laos,import and export commodities and direct investment.Although some achievements have been made in the bilateral economic and trade development between China and Laos,it is found that there are still some problems in trade cooperation,investment,Lao government,policy and border control between China and Laos.Then the potential of bilateral economic and trade development between China and Laos is calculated by using the trade gravity model.According to the calculation results,OT analysis shows that the development of bilateral trade between China and Laos has both advantages and disadvantages,both opportunities and challenges.Therefore,both China and Laos should make use of their own advantages to seize the opportunities for development and promote the sustainable development of bilateral economy and trade.Finally,the strategy of bilateral economic and trade development between China and Laos is put forward from the aspects of further strengthening the border trade between China and Laos,giving full play to the complementary advantages of economy and trade between China and Laos,giving full play to the resources and geographical advantages of Laos,promoting the development of trade with Chinese provinces and cities,and strengthening economic and trade cooperation with Chinese provinces and cities,so as to promote the healthy development of bilateral economy and trade between China and Laos.Through the analysis of this paper,it is of practical significance to promote the development of China-Laos bilateral economic and trade.China-Laos's bilateral economic and trade cooperation will be further accelerated under the joint efforts of both China and Laos.
