The Research On The Impact Of Outward Foreign Direct Investment Reverse Technology Spillover On Innovation Capability In Eastern Region

After 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economic development mode has changed from factor driven to innovation-driven.Relying on mature foreign technologies cannot provide sustained impetus for economic development.Innovation has become the only way for China to transform and develop.However,China's R&D investment intensity and the number of R&D personnel per 10,000 people still have much room for improvement compared with developed countries,which is incompatible with China's status as the world's second largest economy.China's lack of innovation capacity seriously restricts its sustainable development.At the same time,with the continuous advancement of economic globalization,China's OFDI has achieved leapfrog development,especially in the eastern region,which has been expanding,which provides a strong driving force for adjusting the domestic industrial structure and optimizing the allocation of resources.In the critical period of China's economic transformation,how to effectively enhance the innovation ability so as to provide sustained impetus for China's economic development is a problem that needs to be paid close attention to.In the new normal,the key to China's economy is to enhance China's innovation capacity.Since the reform and opening up,the introduction of foreign capital for the purpose of "market for technology" has played an important role in alleviating the shortage of domestic funds and promoting the growth of domestic economy,but this kind of development strategy cannot fundamentally improve the domestic innovation capacity.As an important channel for acquiring technology spillovers,OFDI is of great significance to study the influence of reverse technology spillovers obtained through this channel on a country's technological innovation capability.Combined with the above problems,this paper USES normative analysis method and empirical analysis method to explore the influence of technology spillovers obtained through OFDI on the innovation ability of eastern China.The content of this paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which firstly introduces the research background and significance of this paper,then introduces the research methods and contents of this paper,and finally summarizes the possible innovation points and shortcomings of this paper.Combed the literature review and related theory,chapter 2 first reviews and comments the through OFDI reverse technology overflow effect,regional innovation ability as well as the correlation between the related literature,the second of foreign direct investment in developing countries were summarized and the relationship between theory and foreign direct investment and technology innovation ability of theory;Chapter iii explores the mechanism of OFDI reverse technology spillover,divides the mechanism into four stages of technology spillover,conduction,absorption and diffusion,and draws out the research hypothesis.The fourth chapter content for empirical testing,this chapter USES two models for empirical research,first of all,the empirical analysis through OFDI technology spillover of regional innovation ability in east China,the overall impact of the second selected the four measure of absorptive capacity using threshold model empirical research on the absorption ability for OFDI reverse technological overflow effect.From the empirical results,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)OFDI reverse technology spillover has a significant positive impact on the regional innovation ability of east China,and has different impacts on the innovation ability of different levels.(2)the improvement of regional innovation ability in the eastern region is still mainly dependent on domestic r&d input,while the spillover of international r&d technology obtained through FDI and import trade channels has no significant impact on the innovation ability of the eastern region.(3)the influence of absorptive capacity of technology spillovers through OFDI in the eastern region innovation ability of the threshold effect,and in different absorption capacity threshold value interval,significant influence of the former to the latter,the eastern region of Beijing,Shanghai,guangdong these economically developed provinces can cross the threshold value for foreign direct investment the positive effects of reverse technology overflow.The fifth chapter firstly summarizes the study of the preceding chapter,and then puts forward policy Suggestions from the perspectives of the government and enterprises to enhance the innovation capacity of eastern China with OFDI.The innovation points of this paper are as follows:first,the eastern region,which accounts for 85%of OFDI stock in China,is selected as the research object to investigate the reverse technology spillover effect of OFDI,so that the conclusions and policy Suggestions are more targeted.Second,the absorption capacity is taken as the entry point to study the impact on the spillover effect of the reverse OFDI technology in the east,and a more effective threshold regression model is introduced.Third,the measurement standard of regional innovation ability is supplemented to explore the impact of OFDI reverse technology spillover on the number of patents granted at three different levels.
