Study On The Utility Of Linguistic Information And Its Application In Decision Making Problem

There are a lot of decision making problems in the actual life,such as personnel recruitment and supplier selection,people need to make decision and give the evaluation,and the expressing habits prompt people to use words rather than numbers to give the evaluation.The concept of linguistic term sets provides a more convenient way of expression for people to give the evaluation qualitatively.Subsequently,many scholars have explored the linguistic term sets further,and some extended forms of linguistic term sets have been proposed and applied in decision making fields.2-tuple linguistic sets and single-valued neutrosophic sets are two kinds of extended forms of linguistic term set,because they can express the evaluation value in more detail,so it is of great theoretical value and practical significance to study them more deeply.The main research contents of this thesis are as follows:The first chapter mainly introduces the research backgrounds and research status of linguistic term sets,2-tuple linguistic term sets and the theory of utility,and gives correlation preliminary knowledge.The second chapter proposes the utility of the linguistic term information and the novel operational laws,the properties are dicussed.Numercial examples are given to illustrate the superiority.The third chapter proposes the relevant definition of the 2-tuple linguistic utility,and apply them in the information aggregation and decision making problem,a case of personnel recruitment is given to illustrate the reliability.The fourth chapter proposes the definition of the probabilistic single-valued neutrosophic 2-tuple linguistic sets,the laws of operation and comparison are discussed,and the COPRAS method is applied in the multiple attribute decision making problem,Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness.The fifth chapter is conclusion and prospect.
