Research On The Influence Of Trade Liberalization Of Intermediate Products And Institutional Environment On Enterprise R&D And Innovation

Trade liberalization has always been an important topic in international trade studies.With the deepening of vertical specialization in spatial distribution with global value chains as the core,trade liberalization in intermediate goods has become a hot topic in research.Since China's accession to the WTO in 2001,the degree of import trade liberalization in China has been continuously deepened,among which the trade liberalization of intermediate goods has been the most rapid.China has continuously promoted the transformation and upgrading of foreign trade and economic development by importing a large number of high-quality,high-tech and diversified intermediate manufactured goods.At the same time,to establish a sound institutional system,accelerate the promotion of institutional opening and build an open economy at a higher level has become a new requirement for China to promote the high-quality development of trade in the new era.One of the keys to solving this problem is to enhance the innovation ability of enterprises.As the main body of micro-economy,how to strengthen the original innovation and integrated innovation ability of enterprises;In the context of tariff reduction and institutional environment improvement of intermediate products,how to strengthen the supporting role of their innovation in trade has become an urgent problem to be solved.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the impact of trade liberalization andinstitutional environment on enterprises' R&D and innovation to promote the high-quality development of China's trade.Based on this,this article first to define the concept and the liberalization of trade and micro enterprises,products' trade liberalisation and innovation and the institutional environment of the relevant literature was summarized to comb.Secondly,from the perspective of the theory of mechanism study in-depth analysis of intermediates trade liberalization and the mechanism of action of institutional environment innovation of the enterprise,and thus put forward the research hypothesis.Then,by using the highly detailed tariff data,Chinese industrial enterprise data and China's input-output table from 2000 to 2007,this paper empiricately analyzed the impact of trade liberalization of intermediate goods and institutional environment on R&D innovation of enterprises through setting up models.The research showed that: trade liberalization of intermediate goods improved the R&D innovation level of enterprises;The improvement of the institutional environment is also conducive to the R&D and innovation of enterprises.In the regions where the institutional environment is more perfect,the liberalization of intermediate goods trade strengthens the acquisition effect of enterprise innovation.At the same time,in the heterogeneity analysis of enterprise region,ownership,scale,trade mode and export intensity,as well as industry category,technology content and factor intensity,it is found that trade liberalizationof intermediate products and institutional environment have significantly different impacts on R&D innovation of different enterprises,and the corresponding results are analyzed and illustrated.Finally,this paper summarizes all the conclusions and puts forward corresponding policy suggestions.The research conclusion of this paper provides favorable theoretical support for further reducing import tariffs and system costs and accelerating innovation drive.
