An Analysis Of The Impact Of The Tourism Industry On The Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Residents In Tibet

With the expansion of tourism industry,more and more attention has been paid to the impact of tourism on social development.The income gap between urban and rural residents is an important indicator to measure whether urban and rural residents can equally enjoy the fruits of social development.The purpose of studying the income gap between urban and rural residents from the perspective of tourism development is to provide a new perspective for the common prosperity of urban and rural residents in Tibet.At present,scholars generally believe that tourism development has a significant inhibitory effect on the widening of the income gap between urban and rural residents.This paper explores the existence of this effect in Tibet through an empirical analysis of the time series data of Tibet from 2000 to 2017.The research contents and main conclusions are as follows:First of all,in order to have an in-depth understanding of the impact of the development of tourism in Tibet on the income gap between urban and rural residents,this paper,through literature review,focuses on sorting out the domestic and foreign research results on the impact mechanism,research perspective,research methods,research results and other aspects of this topic,so as to provide reference for the following research.Secondly,it analyzes the current situation of tourism development inTibet and the income gap between urban and rural residents.After years of development,Tibet's tourism industry has made considerable progress in terms of scale,growth rate and contribution to the industrial structure.At the same time,the income of urban and rural residents in Tibet is on the rise,and the absolute gap is constantly widening,the relative income is constantly narrowing,and the income structure is gradually adjusted.This paper believes that there is still room for further narrowing of the income gap between urban and rural residents in Tibet.Third,the development of tourism in Tibet on the income gap between urban and rural residents empirical research.The related literature,this paper,based on time series data of Tibet in recent 20 years,established the tourism development,industrial structure and urban and rural residents' income gap to explain and be explained variables of econometric model,through unit root,granger causality,the VAR vector autoregressive model,the empirical analysis concluded that the Tibet tourism development,industrial structure has a long-term dynamic effects on urban and rural residents income gap.Finally,based on the above analysis,I put forward my own opinions and Suggestions to contribute to the harmonious development of Tibetan society.
