Reality And Imagination:Social Construction Of Chinese Tourists' Tourism Risks In Thailand

Human thought originates from reality and is different from reality,because human thought is inevitably affected by the ideologicalization of its social background.In recent years,tourism activities in Thailand are in full swing,and crisis-related incidents have also occurred frequently.Chinese tourists 'perception of Thailand's tourism risks("imagination" risks)before travelling also originates from tourists' perceived risks("realistic risks")in tourist itineraries,and there is a certain bias.This is because tourists' perceptions of Thailand's tourism risks mostly originate from the "field" information transmission of society,which is the result of social construction,and is full of "false consciousness".Once tourists come to Thailand for tourism,the tourism risks that they "perceive" can often jump out of their "pre-set" "false consciousness" and form their own judgment.Therefore,based on the perspectives of social construction theory,risk social theory,and risk culture theory,this paper uses content analysis,discourse analysis,and grounded theory to explore the social construction process of tourism risks to Thailand.The conclusions are as follows: First,Chinese tourists' pre-tour cognition of Thailand's tourism risks is dominated by crime,socio-cultural and health risks,and post-tour perception is dominated by crime,traffic accidents,and infrastructure risks.There is a deviation.Second,Thai tourism risks exist in the form of fields in Chinese society.The official media in the field showed a parallel evolution from a terrorism-based risk to a tourism business,a traffic accident,and infrastructure risk,and eventually turned into a traffic accident and infrastructure risk-based topic.Social networks in the field are presented as infrastructure risks that are dominated by the environment and risk behaviors,and political turbulence risks that are dominated by risk markers such as explosions and yellow shirts.Third,the social construction process of tourism risk in Thailand is that tourists' perceived risk("real" risk)becomes external tourist's cognitive risk("imaginary" risk)through externalization,objectification and internalization.Fourth,the internal path of Thailand's tourism risk is mainly based on psychological cognition and social networks.
