Planning And Design Of The Theme Farm Based On The Integration Of Farming And Tourism

In recent years,with the release and implementation of a series of national agricultural and rural policies,such as the Construction of Beautiful Village,agricultural supply-side structural reforms,and rural revitalization strategy,issues relating to agriculture,rural areas,and farmers have drawn increasing attention from people of all walks of life.As one form of agricultural industries,leisure agriculture serves as an important approach to rural revitalization because it strongly combines primary-,secondary-,and tertiary-agricultural industries,expanding traditional agricultural production to connect with tourism development.Taking the advantage of regional agricultural resources and rural scenery,theme leisure farms integrate multiple functions including rural sightseeing,farming experience,healthful vacation,science education,etc.While meeting the leisure needs of urban population in fast-paced life,it also helps to increase farmers' income.Thus,it is significant to study the planning and design of the theme farm based on the integration of agriculture and tourism.Besides,peach is a traditional fruit in China with a long history of cultivation and rich cultural connotations.The construction and development of peach-themed leisure farm has greatly promoted the extension of peach industry chain and enhanced the attractiveness of the farm.Based on the study of existing policies and related literature,this paper analyzed the concepts of agri-toursim integration and theme agricultural farm.Through studying the current situation,the paper found several problems faced by the theme farms including lack of prominent features,homogeneity,low attractiveness,and difficulty in product sales,and put forward corresponding countermeasures.Three cases including Wuxi New Pastoralism Peach Village,Nanjing Liuhe Peach Blossom Islandand Chengdu Hometown of Peach Blossom were selected for research.The location advantages,overall layout,detailed design,infrastructure and special plan,activity setting have been analyzed to summarize the development experience,which includes in-depth excavation of peach culture industry resources,improvement of industrial system,enhancement of industrial chain value,strengthening management and changing the mode of cooperation.The paper also discussed common problems of peach-themed leisure farms,which include single function of tourism products,high homogeneity,less-extended industrial chain,old regional management system,and inadequate supporting infrastructure.A framework for the planning and design of a peach-themed leisure farm was established in this paper based on the theoretical research and case analysis,focusing on the application of the peach theme and the creation of peach industry chain.A relatively complete construction system was formed in conjunction with planning-design related theories.The Taohuayuan Leisure Farm in Dongcai village of Suzhou was selected to be planned and designed as an empirical case.Based on the research of peach culture and peach industry,this research designed the farm from project positioning,overall planning,special design and tourism development,providing experience and reference for the construction of relevant theme agricultural farms in surrounding areas.
