Corporate strategy is the key factor that determines the business activities success or invalid,whether or not the company can achieve the business objectives effectively,or to achieve high innovation performance,the key factor is the implementation of the corporate strategy.Executives,especially the CEO of the enterprise,they have a mission to develop and implement the Corporate strategy,Besides,the CEO's characteristics having a significant impact on the relationship between the Corporate strategy and performance.Through the literature review,summarizing the research results of relevant scholars,it is found that the relationship between Corporate strategy,CEO characteristics and performance have always been the focus of academic and business,and the theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between Corporate strategy,CEO characteristics and performance has achieved fruitful results,but still insufficient.To this end,this paper studies the relationship between corporate strategy and innovation performance,at the same time,the role of CEO characteristics in regulating them.The research sample of this paper is the A-share listed company in Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2008-2017,which uses the two statistical analysis software Excel 2013 and Stata14 to preprocess the data and hypothesis regression test,and finally draws the relevant research conclusions.The research results show these:(1)there is a significant positive correlation between corporate strategy and enterprise innovation performance,there are significant differences in the enterprise innovation performance of different strategic types,the more radical the corporate strategy,the higher the enterprise innovation performance will be,the more the company implementing the offensive strategy tends to have better enterprise innovation performance.(2)CEO age has a significant impact on the enterprise's innovation performance.when CEO is ager,the enterprise's innovation performance is higher.At the same time,the CEO age has a positive role in regulating the relationship between the corporate strategy and the enterprise's innovation performance.(3)CEO gender has a significant impact on the performance of innovation in enterprises,and when the CEO is male,the enterprise's innovation performance is higher.At the same time,the CEO's gender has a positive role inregulating the relationship between the corporate strategy and the enterprise's innovation performance.(4)CEO's education has a significant impact on the enterprise's innovation performance,the higher the CEO's education,the higher the enterprise's innovation performance will be.In addition,the study found that CEO's education has not a positive role in regulating the relationship between the corporate strategy and the enterprise's innovation performance.This paper empirically studies the impact of corporate strategy on enterprise's innovation performance and the role of CEO characteristics in regulating the relationship between the two.The scope of research on strategic variables of the company has been further enriched and expanded,the research in the field of strategy and performance relationship has been further improved,and the research field of CEO characteristics as a Regulation variable has been enriched,and the application scope of the theory of the high-level echelon has been broadened.
