A Study On The Relationship Between Characteristics Of Enterprise Innovation Networks And Innovation Performance

Fierce competition in the market leads the living environment of enterprises to an increasingly serious condition,and the development of the knowledge economy makes it impossible for a single enterprise to own all resources which is needed in its operation.More and more enterprises begin to seek external cooperation,which can help them obtain information resources and increase the innovation advantage through the contract between enterprises to form a corporate network.Acquiring external resources efficiently and internalizing into enterprises' own innovative potential can enhance the enterprises' environmental adaptability and then achieve innovation output.Therefore,to understand the characteristics of enterprise network and improve knowledge absorptive capacity is essential to enterprises' innovation.Many researches have shown that enterprise network has a relationship with innovation performance,but the specific mechanism is not conclusive.Based on the theory of enterprise network and knowledge absorption,through the related results of research from home and abroad,this paper constructs a model of relationship between innovation network characteristics and innovation performance and introduces knowledge absorptive capacity as the intermediary variable,which will indicate mechanism of action of the three variables.Firstly,this thesis takes the China University Mining and Technology University Science Park as pre-research object to get small sample,and delets some items to get formal questionnaire by Reliability Analysis and Exploratory Factor Analysis.Secondly,it investigates enterprises of University Science Park in Jiangsu Province with questionnaires and 215 effective samples remained.Based on the analysis software SPSS and AMOS,the hypothesis and the theoretical model are undergone tests and fitting corrections by using method of Confirmatory Factor Analysis,Correlation Analysis,Regression Analysis.The results show that there are some positive effects between innovation network characteristics(involves Network Centrality,Network Heterogeneity,Tie Strength,Relationship Quality)and innovation performance,and the effect of every innovation network dimension is different,and the Network Heterogeneity and the Tie Strength have a positive effect on innovation performance.Each dimension of innovation network characteristics has positive effect on knowledge absorptive capacity except the Network Heterogeneity.Knowledge absorptive capacity has positive effect on innovation performance,and it also has mediating effect in the relationship between innovation network characteristics and innovation performance.The results of this research provide a reference for enterprises to implement management innovation,improve knowledge absorptive capacity,consummate innovation networks and obtain innovative performance by improving the current situation.In addition,the results can also help improve and perfect service functions of the Science Technology Industrial Park Management Departments with dual purpose of theoretical contribution and practical guidance.
