In the past decade,the market demand has changed with the economic and financial situation at home and abroad has begun to change in a complicated way.The development of mobile Internet technology is very fast.Banks are facing the narrowing of interest margin income.Companies are facing greater development pressure in terms of business.Large and small banks are turning their business focus to retail business.Meanwhile,although domestic banks carry out retail reform,China's retail banks are still in the primary stage,as compared with the mature western retail bank industry,especially the retail asset business and retail intermediary business.As the development of Internet finance,such new business forms as third-party payment have blocked the direct contact between banks and customers.With the change of customers' behavior habits,reform must be implemented.To begin with,this paper analyzes the current situation of GF and its retail policy,and analyzes the problems and causes in an all-round way.It is found that GF bank has certain retail business advantages as a result of the retail reform carried out by Citibank at the beginning and the coordinated reform implemented by China Life Insurance in current stage.As the lack of experience in retail reform,there are many problems in completely imitating the western retail bank practice of Citibank in the early stage.After that,based on the existing problems,this paper,by combining with the development characteristics and trends of the international retail bank industry and the development of China's retail banks,further discusses the retail business development strategy GF bank needs to carry out now,and puts forth the way and guarantee to implement the strategy.The paper finds out the problems and puts forward solutions through the research on the basic theory of retail bank and GF bank system,and combining with the analysis of domestic and foreign financial market environment and competitive environment,as well as the practical experience of GF bank retail reform in the past decade,a fact fully embodies the courage and wisdom of the people in the banking industry in China in terms of innovating boldly and striving for progress.In the era of tremendous changes in the global financial system and deepening structural reform on the supply side of China's economy,it is believed that China's banking industry will be able to seize the strategic opportunities under the new situation,promoting innovation and change in a active manner,establishing outstanding core competitiveness and sustainable development capability and making new contributions to China's economic and social evolution.
