The foundation of high-quality development of enterprises lies in the vitality,innovation and competitiveness of the economy.Computer,communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing is an important part of the high-tech industry.Innovation in this emerging industry is particularly intensive,and innovation has become its core advantage.Different top management teams have different impacts on corporate performance.There are two important backgrounds for optimizing the composition of the executive team.The first is the return of overseas talents,and the second is the establishment and improvement of the professional manager system.In this context,companies need to consider the impact of different backgrounds on the formation and optimization of senior management teams.Executives with overseas backgrounds and externally hired executives may not necessarily promote corporate progress.On the contrary,they may not be able to meet the original vision of the enterprise because of "adversity." Therefore,the impact of executives from different sources on innovation performance has aroused the common concern of enterprises and academia.In view of this,this article uses the 2013-2018 Chinese computer,communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing A-share listed companies as a sample,uses the overseas background heterogeneity of the executive team and the heterogeneity of the succession source as explanatory variables,and is calculated by the entropy method Innovation performance as an interpreted variable,to study the impact of source heterogeneity of senior management team on enterprise innovation performance.The study found that the heterogeneity of the overseas background of the executive team is conducive to improving the innovation performance of the company;the heterogeneity of the source of the succession of the executive team has a negative impact.Further introduced salary incentives,the study found that the heterogeneity of overseas backgrounds has a stronger positive impact on the innovation performance of the company;the heterogeneity of the source of the succession of the executive team has a negative to positive impact on the innovation performance of the company,this shows that salary incentives have a positive regulating effect on the impact of heterogeneity of top management teams on corporate innovation performance.This paper studies the influence of the top management team on the innovation performance of enterprises,and whether the pay incentives of the top management team can play a regulating role,which enriches the relevant research on the influence of the heterogeneity of the top management team on the innovation performance of enterprises,and provides theoretical basis for the establishment of the top management team and the implementation of equity incentive.
