Operational Risk Research On Commercial Bank

Operational risk,credit risk and market risk are the finance industry's big three risks.Recently our commercial bank's operational risk occurs lastingly,because we research on operational risk later than western countries,has less experience in operational risk prevention and control and can't meet the international standard.So this paper researches on our commercial bank's operational risk.This paper applies case study,literature review and empirical study along with the author's working experience,centered on commercial bank's operational risk management theory,it analyses operational risk management problems in CMBC 'S fake wealth management case and provides reasonable suggestion for commercial bank's operational risk prevention and control.Firstly,this paper summarizes domestic and overseas literature review and commercial bank 's operational risk management practices and finds out various reasons and prevention and control measures of commercial bank's operational risk.Secondly,based on CMBC's Fake Wealth management Case,this paper analyses its background,influence and reasons.Through Stakeholders' analysis and internal and external reasons,based on operational risk's definition,feature,classification and commercial bank's operational risk prevention and control procedure,it reveals CMBC's operational risk management problems in the perspective of human resources management,internal control mechanism and operational risk prevention and control systems,including ineffective salary incentive,staff rotation,and disciplinary measures;low risk awareness,unfulfilled account supervision,ineffective official seal management,incomplete organization framework and information disclosure;unfulfilled risk identification,assessment,monitoring,mitigation and reporting.Finally,as for these problems,based on domestic and overseas literature review and commercial bank's operational risk management practices,it gives the reasonable suggestion,including strengthening human resource management,improving internal control mechanism and building up a comprehensive operational risk prevention and control systems.
