The Research On Supply Chain Inventory Managemnet Under Uncertain Demand

Integration of forecasting and inventory management theory is a popular supply chain theory.It is used in paper to solve the problems of inaccurate demand forecasting and excessive inventory level with an elevator component company to improve the competitiveness and service level of enterprises.Firstly,concept of the integration with forecasting and inventory management studied at home and abroad,application methods of supply chain management,forecasting and inventory management are discussed as well,then set up the theory and research method for this paper.Secondly,by the elevator component company(KN Company),current supply chain problems are described and analyzed regarding the inaccurate demand forecasting and high inventory level;dig out the fundamental reasons and provide the solutions.Finally,the solutions are evaluated and verified by using the examples in KN Company with positive result,the accuracy of forecasting is significantly improved with the good inventory level.It has been proved that the application of forecasting and inventory management is an effective method and it is meaningful to be a reference in the companies which have the similar problems on forecasting and inventory.
