With the continuous development of economic globalization and world multi-polarization,intra-industry trade as a new form of trade division has emerged and gradually developed rapidly. At the same time, with the "Belt and Road" proposed and promoted in China, the development of economic and trade between the eastern Europe region which has the largest number of countries along the "Belt And Road" and china will become an important link for China to promote the "Belt And Road" initiative. In order to study the intra-industry trade between China and Eastern European countries, this paper analyzes the current status of economic and trade development between China and Eastern European countries and related theoretical backgrounds, and uses the relevant panel data from 1997 to 2017 to evaluate the bilateral intra-industry trade level(G-L index)and intra-industry trade structure(BI and HI indexes). The structural index is used to divide the 20 Eastern European countries into horizontal and vertical intra-industry trade countries, and constructs the panel regression model to study influencing factors of overall and two types ofintra-industry trade. After the index measurement and panel regression, the conclusion is drawn: At the national level, most of the trade between China and eastern European countries is inter-industry trade, and the proportion of intra-industry trade is relatively low.Only a few countries have maintained intra-industry trade in the past three years. At the industrial level, the proportion of intra-industry trade in primary products, capital or technology-intensive manufactured products and labor-intensive manufactured products is relatively low,but the intra-industry level of capital or technology-intensive manufactured products is higher than the other two categories. At the influencing factors level, the difference of per capita income and degree of trade imbalance will inhibit the development of horizontal and vertical intra-industry trade. The size of the market, the degree of trade openness and direct investment will promote the two types of intra-industry trade. The difference of market scale and R&D inhibit horizontal intra-industry trade, but promote vertical intra-industry trade.Based on the above research, some countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward, such as improving and upgrading per capita income level and consumption structure, dialectically viewing the gap of market scale, relaxing the government control over the economy, promoting trade liberalization, promoting bilateral trade balance, rationally treating and fully attracting foreign direct investment and flexibly allocating R&D investment.
