Today is in an era of rapid economic development. The theme of the era is peace and development. The first task of development is to develop the economy, and its essence is to develop the productive forces.Productive force is a material force for people to understand and transform nature, that is,the ability of people to transform natural objects into material materials suitable for human survival.Since ancient times, productivity has been the subject of research by many scholars.Among them, the most famous ones are the understanding and interpretation of productivity by classical political economists.According to the characteristics of their time, they have come to the conclusion of "agricultural productivity","labor productivity"," " Productivity is social wealth " and a series of theories.Marx's productive force theory was developed on the basis of its predecessors, and Marx formed his own productive force theory by inheriting, criticizing, and developing the productivity theory of classical political economists. However,Marx did not study the theory of productivity at the beginning. He found that productivity is the fundamental power to promote the development of human history in the process of studying human history, and began to explain productivity. With the establishment of the historical materialism, the productivity as the cornerstone of the historical materialism has become more important, and Marx is also aware of the urgency of studying the productivity theory. With Marx's in-depth study of productivity theory, productivity theory began to improve and mature after undergoing a series of changes in germination, production, and development, and its maturity symbol is the birth of " Capital. The productivity theory in "On Capital" is undoubtedly the most abundant. It not only explains and supplements the productivity theory of the previous "On Capital",but also proposes many new contents.Marx elaborated on the concept of productivity in many aspects, such as material productivity, spiritual productivity, labor productivity, social productivity, capital productivity, etc.,so that people can understand the concept of productivity more deeply.Under the conditions of capitalism, the development of productive forces has been promoted by multiple forces, such as the improvement of production tools, the reaction of the form of labor organization to it,and the impact of the external environment on its development. It is worth noting that with the rapid development of capitalist productive forces,it has not only brought positive impacts but also negative impacts on capitalist society.Digging deeper into the philosophical thinking of Marx's productive forces theory can enable us to better analyze and study the cascading effects of productive forces in the development process, and provide meaningful ideological reference for the development of China's socialist productive forces.
