In recent years,China's economy has shifted gear from the previous high speed to medium-to-high speed growth,and entered the era of "China's New Normal".Most enterprises,especially production and manufacturing enterprises have seen significant declines in domestic sales,and hence overcapacity followed by issues such as rising costs and increasingly diversifying demands of customers.In order to optimize management and enhance competitiveness,enterprises have to strengthen management capacity by increasing efficiency,improving quality of service,customer satisfaction and reliability of delivery,and reducing inventory,waste during process and operation cost.Therefore,overall optimization of production planning management is necessary.Taisheng Machinery Manufacturing Company was founded in 2005,covering an area of 100 hectares with 850 full-time employees and several part-time employees.After several years of development,Taisheng has become a comprehensive machinery manufacturing that integrates design,production,processing and sales.Taisheng is facing fierce industry competition: it needs to maintain product quality despite that cost of raw materials and labor continue to rise.As cost saving will then greatly depend on efficient management mode,it is worthwhile to review production plan and management control of Taisheng.The current production plan of Taisheng is not keeping up with the rapid development of the Internet.As a manufacturing enterprise,it is recommended to revamp its construction of information technology platform such as computer network,so as to assist production and operation,which is a common way and considered to be of more benefit for manufacturing industry in the long run.Moreover,problems are noticed in Taisheng's market development,including failure of market forecast,mismatch between supply/purchase of goods and production plan,mismatch between production plan and operation plan,large gap between traditional production technology and modern process cost,incompatibility between information management and logistics,and incompatibility between traditional technology and present needs of economic development and so on.Taisheng will have to upgrade production line and management mechanism to adapt to opportunities and challenges in the new era.The framework of this paper,based on consulting a number of domestic and foreign literatures about production planning,is organized as posing questions,analysis of problems and solutions from theory to practice.The focus of this research is to take Taisheng as a case study,by analyzing its difficulties during process of production and operation,from the perspective of production management,in hope of providing all-round optimization of its production line.The purpose of this paper is to boost Taisheng's competitiveness and further promote sustainable development of this company.This paper is divided into six parts as following:The first part is introduction,which briefs on the research background,research significance,domestic and foreign literature,as well as main content and research methods of this paper.The second part is theoretical basis,referring to relevant theories of production planning management at home and abroad,extracting theories that can be applied to Taisheng,and analyzing these theories one by one.The third part is analysis of the problems of production plan management in Taisheng.This part tries to find out the problems of production plan management of the company.By adapting optimization theory to examine these problems in detail,this section leads to the following solutions.The fourth part is optimization strategies of production plan of Taisheng.These strategies try to cover as more as possible aspects of Taisheng's production plan,namely production demand,production plan method,production plan management system,material demand plan,and production operation optimization,etc.The fifth part is introduction of guarantee measures of the production plan management optimization strategy of Taisheng.Measures include establishing management mechanism that's adaptive to the production plan management optimization scheme,strengthening management personnel's awareness of plan management,establishing assessment system of each department and supplier,andestablishing effective incentive mechanism,etc.The sixth part are conclusion and expectation.It recaps and summarizes this paper,and provides suggestions for Taisheng's future development.
