Integrating into the innovation ecosystem,obtaining external innovation resources,implementing an open innovation strategy based on inter-organizational cooperation,and seeking to improve the quality of knowledge creation are the strategic needs of enterprise R&D.With the rapid development of science and technology in the economic era,technological development,as the key engine for the sustained economic growth of a country,has been paid more and more attention by all countries.As the most important manifestation of enterprise's innovation ability and technical level,patent is playing an increasingly important role in the development of enterprises.The transformation from "quantity pushing" to "quality climbing" has laid a foundation for enterprises to carry out open innovation.Due to the high cost and technical difficulty of innovation development,the single and closed operation mode restricts the improvement of enterprises' innovation ability.Enterprise only by predicting internal and external environmental changes,to identify the effects of uncertainty factors,can make scientific decisions quickly that are best for the business.Therefore,the study on the relationship between the heterogeneity of corporate partners and the quality of invention patents has expanded the related research on open innovation,and has direct application value for the selection of enterprise R&D partners,the enhancement of dynamic environment perception ability,and the improvement of the quality of cooperative invention patents.This paper adopts the method of empirical research,according to the data downloaded by CSMAR and iFinD,and purchase the enterprise patent index data calculated from the data sources such as the national intellectual property office from wise bud.According to the particularity of patents,heterogeneous partners were divided into inter-enterprise cooperation and university-enterprise cooperation.Then,use stratified regression method empirically analyze the internal improvement mechanism and internal and external situational characteristics of patent quality in heterogeneous partnership of 246 gem companies.The final research conclusion of this paper:(1)Inter-enterprise cooperation can improve the quality of enterprise invention patents more than university-enterprise cooperation;(2)Intellectual property protection inhibits the effect of inter-enterprise cooperation on the quality of invention patents,while strengthening the positive impact on university-enterprise cooperation on the quality of invention patents;(3)Absorptive capacity strengthens the positive influence of interenterprise cooperation on the quality of invention patents,while inhibits the effect of universityenterprise cooperation on the quality of invention patents.Accordingly,this paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for enterprises,universities and governments to promote cooperation between enterprises and heterogeneous partners,believe that enterprises should deepen inter-enterprise cooperation to maximize the utilization of resources and output benefits,and explore the joint point of cooperation between enterprises and universities to reduce the risk of knowledge transformation.Universities should strengthen the combination with enterprises,improve the conversion rate of scientific research results,give play to the practical value of enterprises,and strengthen the connection between universities and enterprises through students' practice.The government should recognize the national conditions,understand the internal differences of heterogeneous partners,and formulate scientific policies to explore the best balance of intellectual property protection policies.
