The main purpose of this study is to explore the impact of China's One Belt One Road initiative on the countries in East Africa.The study sought to assess the gains this policy has made on the political,economic,infrastructural development of East Africa.Literature was extensively reviewed and a theory such as gravity theory was reviewed to underline the framework of this study.The study was basically a descriptive study reviewing various studies to draw a conclusion.Data was gathered thoroughly through published articles and reports from different sectors.The study found out that the OBOR initiative has so far had a significant impact on eastern African countries such as Kenya,Burundi,Tanzania,Uganda,and Rwanda.These impacts were evident in mostly the infrastructural development of these countries.The study recommends that similar study be carried out in other sub regions of the continent so as to have a wider view of the impact of the OBOR initiative.
