An Empirical Study On The Coordinated Development Of Urban Environment And Economy

In the early years of New China,country’s leaders grope many ways of pattern of Chinese economy development and take the road of reform and opening‐up at last.After reform and opening‐up,China becomes the factory of the world because of bias of Chinese policy,the demand of city development and the limitation of science and technology.As the factory of the world,on the one hand,it expands the economic scope of China,enhances science and technology level and improves daily living standard of people.On the other,countries around the world that in a competitive relationship unable to give the high technology level to China because Chinese technology level is backward at the beginning of reform and opening‐up.Most developed countries only transfer the rough industry to China and it causes the model of economic development of China appears three‐high and one‐low model.And also makes an inefficient using of resource.Thus not only waste the resource but also leads to great deterioration of environment.With the growing demand of the world,the production of Chinese products increased gradually.Although it keeps high growth of economys,it accelerates deterioration of environment and hinders sustainable development of China.The report of the 18 th national congress states ecological civilization in special chapter for the first time,puts forward Five‐in‐one overall arrangement and puts the foundation of ecological civilization in a prominent position in 2012.The Third plenary session of the eighteen puts forward explicitly to build up a systematic ecological civilization institution system,and promotes to formulate a modern pattern that people get along well with nature in 2013.We specifies multiple pillars in ecological civilization system and The Fifth Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC national Congress also puts forward to insist on green development in 2015.The Prime Li Keqiang arises impose stringent emission control measures.On the basis of China’s environmental development issue,this paper sorted out domestic and foreign scholars’ studies on the relationship between environment and economy,theoretically analyzed the possibility that LTFP can coordinate the development of the economy and environment,summarized and analyzed Chin’s environment and the current situations of environment in some cities.Then taking the26 cities in China as research objects,the paper calculated the LTFP of these 26 cities,analyzed the environmental condition of these 26 cities from 2005 to 2017,finally carried out quantitative study on the current situation of these 26 cities.The research demonstrates that from 2005 to 2017,the development of Chinese cities confirmed to the Kuznets curve of the environment,and China still polluted before governance,but the environment of cities had improved in recent years.Finally,it was proved that the coordinated development of environment and economy can be realized if the growth rate of GTFP can be maintained through the threshold model.
