Using the Ordinary Least Square estimation method this study examines the effects of IT on exports, imports, and total trade(exports plus imports)of services in Nigeria. For this study, quantitative research technique notably multiple regression model will be used to capture marginal effect and the impact of independent variables on the dependent variable in the spanning of 1996-2017.The time series data(secondary data)using in this research will be collected from World Development Indicators and other related sources in order to investigate and affirm the impact of information technology on Nigerian service sector. The results from study shows that among the selected variables, increased amount of mobile cellular subscription plays the most critical and central role in the growth of service trade.Internet usage as well as fixed telephone subscriptions also has positive impacts on service trade. However secondary school enrollment ratio has a positive but insignificant impact on service trade.Based on the findings of the study we realized that the education standard is not very high and must be improved on to ensure more people can gain the knowledge required to make productive use of modern information technology infrastructure which support service trade. It is recommend that policy makers should ensure the implementation of the policy reforms that will increase investment levels in information technology are initiated and strictly implemented in order to yield the best of results for Nigeria. It is also necessary to create more awareness to the rural dwellers about the positive impact of information technology infrastructures to uplift their personal lives and businesses.
