At present,as China's economy enters a new normal,problems such as technical bottlenecks and shortage of resources are also emerging.The market is constrained by overcapacity,and the marginal output of scale fixed asset investment is declining.At the same time,China's middle class is growing,and the domestic market is difficult to meet its demand for high quality of life.In this context,China's direct investment in Australia has shown an increasing trend.Based on this phenomenon,this paper firstly sorts out the related literature about OFDI industry selection,OFDI region selection,investment and trade of Australia.They lay the theoretical basis for the full-text research.Secondly,it analyzes the status quo and motivation of China's selection of OFDI industry in Australia,and concludes that China's choice of OFDI industry in Australia is mainly for the purpose of obtaining resources,technology and services.Thirdly,we will collect the data of the 10 major industries selected by China for direct investment in Australia from 2008 to 2017 and the five regional distribution data of the four-year investment from 2014 to 2017,with industry selection as an important reference.Indicators,using gray correlation analysis method for empirical analysis.Finally,the results of the preliminary analysis and the results of the empirical analysis are comprehensively considered,and the results of the industry selection that is beneficial to the realization of China's OFDI benefit to Australia are obtained.That is,as for investment industry,China's OFDI should focus on the mining industry retail industry,agriculture,infrastructure,and health care.Also,as for investment areas,we should focus our attention on New South Wales and Victoria.Combined with the previous analysis,it puts forward some suggestions on China's expansion of investment in Australia's OFDI and continue to diversify investment.
