A Study On The Trade Effect Of China's Textile And Garment Products Under The Framework Of CAFTA

As the largest Free Trade Area composed of developing countries and the most populous regional economic integration organization in the world,China and ASEAN Free Trade Area(CAFTA)has gradually attracted the attention and research of scholars from all walks of life.Since 2009,China has replaced the European Union as asean's largest trading partner,while asean has become China's largest trading partner in early 2020.Since China's reform and opening up in 1978,the textile and clothing industry has always occupied a pillar position in China's national economy.Due to the large number of employees in the textile and clothing industry,asean countries have been highly valued by the countries in the region due to their large role in promoting foreign exchange growth.Therefore,considering the trade effect of china-asean free trade zone on textile and apparel products can provide a basis for us to study the actual impact and operation effect of this regional free trade organization on China's textile and apparel products trade,and help China to find out the problems and find countermeasures.This paper first introduces the development and evolution process of establishing China's free trade zone,then introduces the development situation of china-asean free trade zone,and summarizes the development of China's textile and clothing industry under the framework of china-asean free trade zone CAFTA.In this paper,we study is the core of CAFTA on the trade effect of China's textile and clothing products,so the first thing is to CAFTA signed before and after the overall situation and China's textile and garment products import and export structure change were analyzed,and then use the RCA index and intra-industry trade index of China's textile and apparel products in before and after the signing of the CAFTA,comparing the development of international competitiveness and then use the model and the trade gravity model in Lhasa empirical analysis on the establishment of CAFTA empirical research on China's textile and clothing products trade effects,conclusions and Suggestions are put forward.
