Research On The Spatial Effect Of Co-agglomeration Of Manufacturing And Producer Services On The Quality Of Economic Development

China’s economy has turned from the stage of High-speed growth to high-quality development since the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed.Achieving the transformation of old new kinetic energy and promoting the high-quality development of the economy is a hot and importanttopic in current economic theory research.Currently the negative externalities of imbalanced economic development and deteriorated ecological environment caused by past extensive developments have become more prominent,resulting to the situation of low-end capacity oversupply and high-end production capacity is insufficient in China.The "two-wheel drive " developmental model is a important path of industrial development and transformation in developed regions or countries,which also is the significant strategy to achieve the high-quality development of the economy in the new age.This paper based on the external characteristics of industrial co-agglomeration,using the 2008-2017 Chinese provincial panel data to test the spatial effect of co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer Services to the quality of economic development.The research finds that:(1)Both co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer Services and the quality of economic development have showed significant spatial agglomeration;(2)From the national perspective,industrial co-agglomeration showed an inverted u-shaped relationship with the the quality of economic development under the direct effect,but its indirect effect is not significant;(3)From the provincial perspective,the spatial effect of co-agglomeration of manufacturing and producer Services on the quality of economic development was heterogeneous,among them,the trend of direct effect in the eastern and western regions is consistent with the national level,while there is no significant direct effect in the central region.Thespatial spillover effect in the central and western regions is showed a u-shaped relationship that from declines to increases,but this effect is not clear in the eastern region.Based on the above main research conclusions,this paper comes up with corresponding policy recommendations for different regions.
