In recent years,the development of corporate social responsibility has attracted much public attention,and has become an important basis for evaluating the development of enterprises in this new era.With the rapid development of market economy,enterprises and society are inextricably linked.Only with enough attention to social responsibility enterprises can survive for a long time and the society can continue to develop.Corporate social responsibility is actually fulfilled by the decision of the senior management team,and the characteristics of the senior management team can have an important impact on corporate social responsibility.This paper studies the gender ratio,average age,average academic qualifications and whether there are members with overseas background or not in senior management team,and the mediating role of internal control.This paper takes the non-financial enterprises listed in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets from 2014 to 2018 as research samples,and also cites Runling global corporate social responsibility score and DIB internal control index as initial data.Through the construction of multiple regression model and non-linear regression model for empirical tests,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Female senior management in the senior management team plays a promoting role in fulfilling corporate social responsibility.The higher the proportion of women,the higher the corporate social responsibility score.(2)At the present stage,the proportion of women in senior management team is relatively low,which is positively related to corporate social responsibility.However,the relationship between the proportion of women in senior management team and corporate social responsibility is complex,with inflection point and inverted “U” relationship.(3)The average age of senior management team plays a role in promoting the implementation of corporate social responsibility.The higher the average age,the higher the corporate social responsibility score.(4)The average academic qualifications of the senior management team plays a role in promoting the implementation of corporate social responsibility.The higher the average academic qualifications,the higher the score of corporate social responsibility.(5)Senior management team members with overseas background play a role in promoting the implementation of corporate social responsibility.Senior management teams with overseas background scored higher on corporate social responsibility.(6)Internal control plays an intermediary role in the influence of femaleproportion,average age,average academic qualifications and members with overseas background on corporate social responsibility respectively.This research is of positive significance for enterprises to shoulder their social responsibilities and perfect their corporate social responsibility system.Based on the research conclusions,this paper puts forward the following targeted suggestions for enterprise management: first,appropriately increase the proportion of women in the senior management team to maintain about 40%,and advocate equality between men and women in the senior management team,and realize the elitism of professional women;Second,take into account the long-term development of the enterprise and reasonably raise the average age of the senior management team.Third,strictly control the selection of senior management team talents and train high-quality talents;Fourth,pay attention to the introduction of overseas talents,provide opportunities for business executives to exchange abroad,and enhance their personal business capabilities.Finally,the limitations and deficiencies in the research process are summarized,and suggestions for improvement are put forward for future scholars.
