| Fuel Cells are electro chemical devices that can directly convert the chemical energy of a gaseous fuel into electric energy. Fuel Cells are the future potential mobile and stationary power source. Proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is the type of fuel cell which is efficient, operates at low temperature and is used for a wide variety of applications as a power source. This research focuses on the modeling of PEM fuel in Simulink and implementation of model reference adaptive control (MRAC) architecture to control the fuel flow rate to get a required load. The purpose of this thesis is to study in detail the process of formulating the adaptive control algorithm for a single input and single output system. |
