| This project includes problems of control charts for variables in aspect of their utilization in quality control of the tire manufacturing processes.;Control charts must be properly selected and assigned to a selected process. A number of points must be taken into consideration when identifying the type of control chart to be used. Understanding statistical process control (SPC) and the concepts of quality and variation as they relate to the manufacturing processes saves money through reduction of scrap, rework, and other rejections. Involving production managers, supervisors, operators, purchasers, and quality department personnel makes the application of SPC more effective.;The final effect of this research was the choice of the control chart that fitted the best to specificity of the analyzed process.;Additionally, recommendations relating to possibilities of the control charts utilization in quality process control as well as the effectiveness of SPC methods in the whole company were formulated. |
