| The objective of this thesis is to estimate the parameters of dynamic systems using the Sliding Mode Control Technique.; In order to improve the accuracy of the parameters estimated, the number of measurements was increased, resulting in an over-determined system. In this case the mean least squares method was incorporated to accommodate all the measurements in the over-determined case. The parameters to be estimated were calculated using traditional and higher order sliding mode observers and the pseudo-inverse technique.; In the case studies of DC-motor and Aircraft pitch dynamics, the measurement accuracy of the results was verified using the performance index factor. |
