Abstract/Summary:
The engagement of critical friends is a strategy for enhancing critical inquiry through the development of a purposeful network of partners. Critical friends support a deepening of learning through the addition of alternative perspectives which, when properly developed, improves learner self-reflection through the inclusion of new information and varied perspectives. Collaboration further elevates the group potential through the inclusion of a variety of personal experiences and perceptions.;Blogging is a form of online journaling that has become increasingly popular in the past five years. With the rise of the Read/Write Internet or Web 2.0, anyone with access to Internet connectivity may easily create and publish a blog of their observations, opinions or feelings. Blogging, supported by comments, from a network of critical friends, results in a cohort of learners who, through the addition of alternate points of view and personal experience, improves professional practice at a distance.
