Acculturation and life satisfaction among Latinos in the United States

Abstract/Summary:
This study examined the relationship between acculturation and life satisfaction among Latinos in the United States. The sample included 50 Latinos from various parts of Central America, South America, North America, and the Caribbean. The majority (72%) of the participants were 1st-generation immigrants. The participants completed a survey that provided data regarding demographics, satisfaction with life, and acculturation. The findings revealed no significant correlation between acculturation and life satisfaction. Implications of the study are discussed.
