| This study examines the effects of self-reported Internet pornography use, along with other variables, on sexual attitudes and behaviors among college students. Undergraduate students (N = 1,180) reported demographic information, information about their use of the Internet and Internet pornography, personal sexual history, and their attitudes and expectations about sexual behaviors through an online survey. Using a series or hierarchical and logistical regression analyses, self-reported use of streaming video Internet pornography was the strongest predictor of attitudes and self-reported behaviors that deviated most strongly from the mean responses of respondents. Male sex, a self-reported history of sexual abuse and self-reported use of pornography before the age of 13 were also strong predictors of outlying attitudes and self-reported behaviors. |
